Bippity Boppity Boo

I guess you can say I have always been a Disney fanatic. I've always loved the melodies and characters, been obsessed with the story lines and magic spells. Growing up in a house with two sisters, we would dance around in our princess nightgowns, living out the fairytales we knew by heart. I mean, really, is there any young girl who doesn't want a fairy godmother? Or a flying carpet? Disney is magical. It's happiness and it's childhood wrapped up in one massive present and tied together with a sparkling bow. It's love.
Now that I'm in college and beginning a life completely on my own, Disney helps me remember my roots. It brings me back to the days I spent in the swimming pool or bathtub singing Part of Your World, or to the multiple Halloweens I spent in an itchy black wig as Snow White (my favorite princess as a child). I think of seeing The Lion King in Boston on Christmas Eve, or seeing Julia as Ursula at the Palace Theater just down the road. All three of my cats have at one point been raised to the sky in Circle of Life fashion. My greatest memory, however, is the voice of my mom singing me lullabies as I went to sleep. She was a professional singer for 22 years, and every night, Madison, Julia, and I would get a song of our choice for her to sing right in our ear. My personal favorite was Something There from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. I still smile every time I hear it.
